Lena Rose Retail Buyers Reveal First-Impression Product Favorites From IBE Dallas

Indie Beauty Expo returned to Dallas last week for a sophomore trade show in the city that featured more than 70 emerging brands. Retail buyers from the likes of Whole Foods, Neiman Marcus, Forty Five Ten, Ricky’s NYC, Walmart.com, TJX Cos. Inc. and Lena Rose roamed the floor at trade show venue Sixty Five Hundred to spot what could be the next big product in the beauty industry from those brands. To gain insights on their views of the event, Beauty Independent persuaded buyers from Chicago area natural beauty store Lena Rose to divulge merchandise that stood out to them on first glance. Here is what they told us:

Jenny Duranski, founder and CEO

  1. Ora Organic Vegan Vitamin D

“We are all so deficient in this vitamin, and it’s important for immunity and absorption of other nutrients like calcium and phosphorous. I have a feeling we will be seeing this vital nutrient take the spotlight in skincare, mainly serum formulations, very soon.”

  1. Woodlot Nourishing Cleansing Balm

“This is such a beautiful smelling balm. I got a sneak peek of this product at IBE Los Angeles earlier this year, and it’s still a best in show for me. I’ve never seen petigrain be a highlighted ingredient before, and it’s an intoxicating scent in the best way, plus it’s balancing benefits to skin this time of year.”

  1. Gloss Naturals Soy Nail Polish Remover

“It’s always nice to see cleaner nail brands at IBE. This is a favorite for my clients to use at home as it’s acetone-free, so has no harsh smells, and infused with vitamins, so it won’t dry out the nail plate.”

  1. Holistic Hemp Co. Body Butter

“This butter defeats dehydration while supplying skin with inflammation-busting CBD. Love the way it feels on achy muscles.”

  1. Au Naturale Créme de la Creme Shadow in Kiki

“Perfect spring hue that packs a powerful pigmented punch minus pesky creasing or fallout.”

  1. Vital Proteins Bone Broth Collagen

“One of the easiest and most delicious ways to bring nutrient dense foods like bone broth into your diet. The way to go on the go!”

  1. Cleo & Coco Dusting Powder & Dry Shampoo

“I like it because it’s a multitasking product that can be used as a deodorant powder and dry shampoo, and it smells great.”

  1. Vital Proteins Collagen Creamer in Coconut

“This was a brand I was most excited to see at the show. I’m an avid coffee drinker, and it’s a dual product that’s great for hair, skin and nails plus tastes great.

  1. Ari Rose SOL Glow Exfoliant

“I loved the consistency of it, and I could tell it would be detoxifying and exfoliating while still being able to hydrate the skin.”
