Celebrity Endorsements: Brands Share Their Favorite Famous People

In this edition of Beauty Independent’s ongoing series posing questions to beauty entrepreneurs, we ask 18 founders and executives: Which celebrity would you like to endorse your brand and why?

Pamela Viglielmo President and CEO, Menaji

Someone like David Beckham, a man who stands for strength, confidence, athleticism and individuality. Someone people look up to, who supports humanitarian efforts and shares our values.

Tina Rowhanian Founder, Cleantan

Hands down, Alicia Keys. She epitomizes our brand. She’s really natural and a lot of people use our product as a facial primer in lieu of makeup.

Delane Mazaheri Co-Founder, Stare Cosmetics

Anna Kendrick. I like her personality, energy and image. She acts, sings and does it all!

Kat Wright President, Frownies

Jane Fonda. She’s iconic and represents timeless beauty.

Melissa Christensen Founder, Cannabliss Organic

Rihanna. She embodies our brand: sophisticated, edgy and, of course beautiful, inside and out.

Mona Dan Founder and Acupuncturist, Vie Healing

Jessica Biel. She’s naturally flawless, beautiful and keeps her look simple, but elegant.

Ivan Varona Co-Founder, IYOU

Jessica Alba. We love how she embraces and promotes a healthy lifestyle.

Betty Guerre Founder, Aim HI Every Day

Dwayne Johnson. Hear me out.  He has roots here locally in Hawaii and is a positive force on a global level, giving back from the heart. And have you seen his skin?

Chris Loney Founder, London's Pedisoaks

We have a tie between Tracee Ellis Ross and Misty Copeland. We wholeheartedly love Tracee's overall fun spirit, healthy lifestyle and her hard work ethic. It truly resonates with our brand. And then you have Misty, who is a phenomenal dancer and ground breaker. Most importantly, she knows the value of taking care of her feet. It would be a dream come true to work with either one of these admirable women.

Lisa Markel Owner, Seriously FAB

Brooke Burke-Charvet. She embodies the active American lifestyle. She’s outdoorsy, into fitness and naturally beautiful. She looks effortless and easy-going, the kind of woman that cares about her appearance, but not too much.

Wanchen Kaiser CEO, Glamcor

Kendall Jenner. She’s a young famous model on-the-go and this technology would be incredibly useful for her, not to mention appeal to her age demographic.

Adriana Ruano Co-Founder, Vervan Cosmetics

It’s a tie between Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway. Julia is fresh, transparent, natural, always smiling and represents Vervan well in that she’s happy with herself and doesn’t need much makeup. Anne is versatile, authentic, beautiful and has a good spirit.

Sara Elizabeth Tucker Founder and Facialist, Sara Elizabeth Skincare

I love everybody, but, if I had to choose, it would be Jennifer Lopez because of her natural, glowing skin, on top of being kind and confident.

Angel Del Sola Co-Founder, 18.21

Brad Pitt. We call him the chameleon because he has every hairstyle ever done. His diversity of style really represents our brand.

Joshua Scott Onysko Founder and President, Pangea Organics

Scarlett Johansson. She’s into natural and organic, makes her own products, and is crazy in a good way.

Shunri MacQuarrie Founder, Shunly Skin Care

Oprah Winfrey. Oprah is a very powerful person and brand all by herself. The items she recommends from food to books are very select. Oprah does not recommend things simply for profit. She recommends what she believes in, things that are ethical, moral and have a positive impact on people’s lives. I believe my brand is a representation of the things that Oprah values.

Anit Hora Founder, Mullein & Sparrow

Angelina Jolie. I’ve always admired her as a strong female figure. As an actress she’s absolutely stunning and talented. As a film director, she’s brilliant and loves to courageously shine light on topics others tend to cast aside. And, as a passionate humanitarian, she really invests her heart and soul into the causes that ignite her.

To some extent, I feel I can especially relate to this latter part of her character. I started my company with next to nothing, save for a fiery keenness to merge the worlds of vegan beauty and Ayurvedic wellness, two causes I personally love. I would love to have someone as influential as her and suspect Mullein and Sparrow products would seamlessly add to her already effortless natural beauty.

Andrea Barone Founder, Crystal Hills

I really couldn’t narrow it down to just one individual. Some of my dream celebrity endorsers would be Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson. Aside from the obvious that they are all extremely beautiful, I really love some of the philosophies that many of them live by. For instance, healthy body image, clean eating, natural and holistic care, and getting back to basics are all important elements of Crystal Hills. And, of course, some of them are even into crystals.
