Six Sexy Wellness Launches For Summer Fun
Crushing humidity aside, summer is widely considered the sexiest season. Perhaps it’s the (literal, not figurative) extra vitamin D we get this time of year that provides an energy boost—or at least slays lingering seasonal affective disorder. Or perhaps it’s seeing all the bare skin, from the beach to the streets, that gets us going. For consumers determined to have a wet, hot American summer, we’ve rounded up six recent sexual wellness product launches we’ve (respectfully) got our eye on.

Maude Heat: Modern intimacy brand Maude has been on tear this year, entering new product categories like grooming as well as Sephora’s physical stores, the first intimate body care brand to do so. But one of the brand’s latest launches goes back to its sexy roots. Priced at $20, Heat is a warming version of the brand’s popular Shine lubricant. The fragrance-free, water-based formula contains the chili pepper extract capsaicin to ignite a subtle warming sensation that builds with motion. Heat is safe to use with silicone devices and latex, and is FDA 510(k) cleared, meaning it passes the United States Food and Drug Administration’s muster as a medical device. Expect to see a growing number of sexual wellness brands leverage 501(k) clearance as a point of differentiation in the market.
Foria Booty Melts: For nearly a decade, Foria has specialized in innovative cannabinoid-based sexual wellness and intimate care products, including its in-demand vaginal suppositories. The brand’s latest launch is suppositories intended for anal play. Each melt is infused with 150 milligrams of broad-spectrum, hemp-derived CBD and cannabigerol or CBG to aid with anal relaxation from within. Booty Melts, which is priced at $34 for four suppositories, also features organic, fair-trade cocoa butter and organic jojoba oil for easy insertion. “Nearly half of the population has experimented in one way or another with butt play, but it’s often regarded as a taboo topic, even within the sexual wellness landscape,” says Kiana Reeves, chief content officer at Foria. “Foria’s goal in launching Booty Melts is to support and empower those interested in exploring new avenues for pleasure by offering a unique product that boosts comfort and arousal.”
The Honey Pot Company Sensual Stimulating Serum: Beloved period care brand The Honey Pot Company recently ventured into the pleasure space with the launch of a three-product sexual wellness range: $10.49 Intimacy Wipes, $15.99 Silicone Hybrid Lubricant and $20.99 Sensual Stimulating Serum. The latter is a creamy serum infused with peppermint, cucumber, aloe and vitamin E for increased vulvar stimulation that can be used for partner or solo play. The range is available at Target and Walmart.

Mangoceuticals Inc. Mango: Emerging brands have been transforming the over-the-counter wellness and personal care categories for years. Lately, startups have been upgrading prescription products by going far beyond simply repackaging them with better branding. Men’s health startup Mango has taken on Tadalafil, the active ingredient in name brand erectile dysfunction medications like Cialis, by developing a mango-flavored tablet that dissolves under the tongue in less than 15 seconds and allows for faster absorption than traditional pills. Mango, which starts at $75 for a pack of six pills, compounds Tadalafil with two additional ingredients for maximum benefit: oxytocin to foster bonding experiences and l-arginine, an amino acid that acts as a vasodilator for improved blood flow. Mango Rx is currently available in 42 states.

Hello Cake Flavored Lubes: Since its launch three years ago, Hello Cake has brought its collection of fun and approachable pleasure and intimate care offerings, most of which are under $50, to the shelves of Target and Walmart nationwide. The brand’s latest launch, a trio of flavored lubes for enhanced oral play, is available on its website and through grocery delivery service GoPuff so consumers can order it from the comfort of their homes. Priced at $14 for a 50-ml. bottle, the water-based lubes come in vanilla chai, peach ginger and coconut lime flavors. The vegan and gluten-free flavors are designed to dissipate quickly, leave no aftertaste and be safe for penetration. “‘Giving oral isn’t all that fun,’ is what we kept hearing from our community, that’s why we set out to reinvent it,” says Mitch Orkis, co-founder and CMO at Hello Cake. “Simply squeeze a few oral-enhancing drops into the Hello Cake toy, and it’ll release a sweet treat for the giver while the receiver feels mighty good.”
Prohibition Wellness Massage Candle: Friends Angela Mustone, Chris Mennillo and Lara Mackenzie launched face and body care range Prohibition Wellness launched earlier this month with a collection of eight hemp seed oil-infused self-care offerings for face and body ranging from $27 to $64. The brand’s mission is to create minimalist, neutral and modern alternatives in the overly gender-coded body care category. Its $57 Massage Candle melts into an aromatic blend of premium coconut and hemp seed oils formulated with essential nutrients and fatty acids to be used as a skin softening and soothing massage oil.
