The Top 10 Brands Driving Fragrance Sales On TikTok Shop

Once upon a time, discovering a new fragrance meant wandering a department store, blotter strip in hand. Today, it happens mid-scroll. On TikTok, a creator can describe a scent as a “second skin” or “memory you didn’t know you missed,” and within seconds, viewers can add it to their cart. What was once confined to the beauty floor has become immersive, interactive and instant.

“TikTok Shop has become the modern fragrance counter, where discovery happens through storytelling,” says Jack Li, head of fragrance for TikTok Shop Beauty U.S. He adds that fragrance performs particularly well because creators move beyond reciting notes, instead explaining how a scent fits into a routine, mood or personal identity, which are particularly relevant for scent wardrobing and layering trends.

The storytelling-driven discovery is translating into significant commerce. Market research firm NielsenIQ estimates TikTok Shop is the sixth-largest U.S. health and beauty e-commerce retailer, with roughly $3 billion in sales in the category over the 12 months ending in late July 2025. NIQ data indicates health and beauty accounts for 79% of TikTok Shop’s U.S. sales, with fragrance ranking among the platform’s top-selling beauty categories.

Over the same 12-month period, orders in health and beauty on TikTok Shop rose 88% year over year, while the number of buyers increased 25%, and shoppers spent an average of $120 annually on beauty products through the app, up 68% from the prior year. A report from digital agency Flywheel projects TikTok could generate roughly $1 trillion in sales by 2030 and become a top-three global retailer, bigger than Walmart and Amazon based on current sales volumes.

That reach matters even when the transaction happens elsewhere. “TikTok Shop has been a really important discovery engine. So, it’s where people are by and large finding out about new brands and, whether they make a transaction on TikTok Shop or make the transaction on Amazon or on Sephora or even a month later in a retail store, it’s becoming that generator of awareness,” says Anna Mayo, VP of the beauty vertical at NIQ. “Even brands that are not necessarily converting a lot of sales on TikTok Shop are still seeing it as a really important driver to make sure people are aware of the brand.”

TikTok Shop reports that 83% of all shoppers have discovered a new product on the platform, and 70% have discovered a new brand. As the global fragrance market, projected by market research firm Straits Research to reach $88.35 billion by 2033, with a compound annual growth rate of around 5%, continues to grow, albeit at a slower pace, the question of whether fragrance can be sold online has been answered by the likes of TikTok Shop and Amazon.

Ajay Salpekar, brand and creator commerce general manager at TikTok, points to fragrance brands such as Bellavita Luxury, which has gained popularity via discovery sets, and Dossier, the brand known for dupes with an advent calendar that was a big part of 2025 holiday gifting, as examples of brands finding scale on the platform. He says, “It’s the brands of different ages and stages, U.S. brands and non-U.S. brands, who have found their way through assortment, content and marketing who are leaving a lasting mark.”

Live shopping has been central to their leaving a mark. In 2024, brands and creators hosted over 8 million hours of live shopping sessions in the U.S. A GlobalData survey found that 76% of consumers who engaged with TikTok Shop bought something from a livestream in the past year, highlighting how real-time interaction accelerates conversion.

As TikTok Shop becomes an increasingly influential retail channel, fragrance brands are treating it not as an experiment, but as a core awareness and growth driver. The following ranking reflects the top-performing fragrance brands on TikTok Shop in 2025, based on sales data tracked by data provider Charm.io. Accounting for nearly $162 million in combined sales, they illustrate how discovery, community engagement and livestream-powered conversion are contributing to meaningful revenue. The rankings also suggest TikTok Shop is rewarding value-oriented fragrance propositions and bold, long-lasting scents, with dupe-focused brands and Middle Eastern perfume specialists accounting for a substantial share of top sellers.
