Trellis Beauty, The Bath Well And Cedra Pharmacy Buyers Share Top Product Picks From Indie Beauty Expo New York

Indie Beauty Expo held its most massive trade show ever last week, when displays from 250 brands sprawled across 70,000 square feet at Pier 36 in New York. Getting to all the exhibitors during IBE NY’s two days was difficult even for the most efficient attendee. To help make sure we didn’t miss standout offerings, Beauty Independent enlisted four keen product spotters – Tracy Trellis Gori, CEO and founder of Trellis Beauty, Deena and Ilan Kreimont, co-founders of The Bath Well, and Brandon Cross, beauty director and general manager at Cedra Pharmacy – to share items that caught their attention. Here’s what they told us:

Brandon Cross of Cedra Pharmacy

  1. Andmetics Wax Strips

“As a rather new company, I was a bit unexcited when I heard what the product was from Andmetics: a wax strip. But these actual eyebrow-shaped wax strips make it easy for those of us who need a bit more guidance. They also have ones for men and the upper lip.”

  1. Clove + Hallow Conceal + Correct

“Creator Sarah Biggers made the line for herself, but formulated it for everyone. The line has a wide variety of shades and tones, and has more on the way. It has my go-to concealer that can be worn without requiring powder. It’s magic, and my star for clean beauty.”

  1. ATOI Skincare Soothing Milk

“Owner Tova Hanifin is always a delight when you are at her West Village boutique spa and so is her whole team. The line is singlehandedly responsible for the shift in my skin going from normal to glow god.”

  1. The Good Patch Hemp-Infused Patches

“They have a patch for Sleep, Calm, Your Period and even Hangovers. These are also available without hemp. Call me an intervention because I’m addicted.”

  1. Zodica Perfumery Aquarius Twist & Spritz Zodiac Perfume

“The presentation of the line was gorgeous. Zodica Perfumery is a small-batch and artisanal line of celestial-inspired fragrances that reflect the emotion and season of its sign as designed by founder Kristi Moe.”

Tracy Trellis Gori of Trellis Beauty

  1. Elate Cosmetics Fall Color Collection

“Consisting of two new matte eyeshadows, two new lipsticks, a new cream blush and matte brown liquid eyeliner, this collection really stood out to me because of how inclusive it is for all skin tones. This is one of the reasons why we carry the brand at Trellis.”

  1. Carter + Jane The Everything Oil

“There comes a time where you need to indulge in a luxury item in your skincare routine, and The Everything Oil is just that. Because of its multiuse approach which we love at Trellis, I was intrigued to learn more about the efficiency of its ingredients like organic prickly pear, aloe vera and avocado oil, which truly feels magical on the skin. I personally tried it as a cleansing oil and loved it. I also loved the sleek packaging.”

  1. The Good Patch Hemp-Infused Patches

“Truth be told, I had one too many margaritas the night before IBE. So, when I came across The Good Patch, which I stalked on social before attending the show, I immediately had them patch me up with the hemp-infused Hangover patch. About two hours later, I was feeling much better. When I posted about the patches on Instagram, I received a ton of interest from our Trellis Beauty followers. From the eye-catching packaging to the innovative idea and the grab-and-go price point, it’s safe to say that this company will be one to watch.”

  1. Innersense Dry Shampoo

“When I polled the Trellis audience on Instagram, a whooping 90% wanted to see a clean dry shampoo. I tried the new Dry Shampoo from Innersense, and I’m excited to report back that it worked. From its innovative foam texture to its scent, I was impressed.”

Deena Kreimont of The Bath Well

  1. Olive + M Shimmer + Glow Body Oil

“I was instantly drawn to the eye-catching rose gold color of this body oil. It leaves the skin feeling hydrated with a nice glow that can be used year-round. I love that Olive + M uses such high quality yet simple ingredients and sources its star ingredient, olive oil, locally.”

  1. Moon Bath New Moon Bath Tea

“I love bath soaks that offer unique ingredients and even flowers, but the clean-up process can ruin that post-bath relaxed feel. Moon Bath Teas are brewed prior to your bath and then added to the water. I like that this method allows you not only to avoid a messy clean-up process, but your skin is able to better absorb the nutrients in the tea.”

  1. Woodlot Amour Lotion

“I tried tons of lotions and scented products throughout the day, but I was drawn to this lotion. It has light rose scent, immediately sinks into the skin and is something I could picture reapplying throughout the day.”

Ilan Kreimont of The Bath Well

  1. Basd Seductive Sandalwood Body Wash and Lotion

“Our customers already love Basd’s Crème Brûlée Body Wash and Lotion. We’re excited to see them add a new scent to the mix. We’re sure the new sandalwood products are going to be a big hit for men and women.”

  1. The Seaweed Bath Co. Citrus Vanilla Body Wash

“I love the citrus scent they have incorporated. It’s a great candidate for our body wash category as we continue to offer gender-neutral products.”

  1. Plant Apothecary Get Happy Body Wash

“The peppermint oil in this scent immediately evokes feelings of relaxation. I like how each Plant Apothecary body wash has a different theme based on the ingredients and their intended impact on your wellbeing and mood. I also really appreciate that they offer smaller sizes allowing customers to test out various scents.”
